Interactive Lecture Series

The Interactive Lecture Series: A Holistic Approach to Caring with Older Adults brought together caregivers and community members for an engaging learning experience. Held from February 24 to March 31, 2025, this free, in-person series featured expert-led sessions on key topics including Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), advance care planning, dementia care approaches, caregiver mental health, and elder abuse prevention. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, participants gained valuable tools to support compassionate, patient-centered care for older adults.
Encircling Care Summit
The Encircling Care Summit, held on April 30, 2024, brought together healthcare professionals, community leaders, caregivers, and advocates to foster meaningful connections and collaboration in older adult care. Centered on the theme of community, health, and wellness, the summit created a space for sharing knowledge, building partnerships, and advancing innovative approaches to support aging populations. Held in Saskatoon, this inaugural event highlighted the importance of collective action in strengthening care systems and improving the well-being of older adults.


Taking a Pulse: Hands-On Volunteerism Workshop
This full-day, hands-on workshop brought together community organizations, healthcare partners, and service providers to strengthen volunteer engagement and capacity. Focused on practical skills and real-world application, participants explored key topics including crafting mission statements, recruitment strategies, volunteer retention, and understanding liability and insurance. Held in Saskatoon, the session created a collaborative space for organizations to share challenges, learn from one another, and build more effective, sustainable volunteer programs that better support their communities.
