Summit 2023 Speakers
This summit aims to bring together various care providers, researchers, students, family, close ones, and volunteers as well as organizational and business representatives who are involved in older adult care, health, and well-being. If you have lived experience in caring with older adults, or being cared for as an older adult, we encourage YOU to attend.
We will use the Scientific Café format, which aims to reach all audiences, connecting professionals and scholars with members of the public to encourage conversation, debate, interaction, and dialogue.

LTC Experiences and Career Trajectories; Benefits of Associations
Jodi Hall
CEO, Canadian Association of LTC
Jodi Hall is the CEO for the Canadian Association for Long Term Care. Previously, she served as Executive Director of the New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes, President of the New Brunswick Continuing Care Safety Association and Co-Chair of the Collaborative for Healthy Aging
and Care which works to create a shared conversation among stakeholders on the aging experience in New Brunswick. Hall also previously served in a range of leadership positions, including as Administrator of a Long Term Care home in New Brunswick. In addition to her work
in Atlantic Canada, Hall was no stranger to CALTC prior to starting in the CEO position, as she served as CALTC’s Chairperson for two years.
Tending to Oral and Dental Health in LTC Settings
Dr. Raj Bhargava
Dentist and Educator
Dr. Raj Bhargava is a USask College of Dentistry Graduate from 1988…He has been in private practice for the last 35 years, and providing LTC Dentistry for the past 30 years. He provides mobile dental care for the homebound, bed bound, hospital bound or anyone with an access to care concern. His dental team provides all aspect of oral health care from dental cleanings to dental implants and everything in between. Dr. Bhargava is keen on expanding his oral health care model across the province, eagerly approaching, educating, and encouraging the Ministry of Health to cooperate.

Dr. Erin Yakiwchuk
Pharmacist, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, University of Saskatchewan
Erin's teaching, clinical work, and research focuses on optimizing the health and function of older adults. A pharmacist by training, she is particularly interested in optimizing medication use in this population. She loves working with older adults, as well as the multidisciplinary geriatrics team!
